Are you struggling to keep the house warm with ever-rising energy bills?
Find out if you’re eligible for the ECO4 Scheme.
Homeowners and tenants in privately rented homes can enjoy better heating with loft and wall insulation, smart thermal controls, solar PV and energy efficient heating, all completely free!
Fully funded by the ECO4 Scheme.
How does the ECO4 Scheme work?
With the ECO4 grant, it is the energy companies' decision which energy efficiency projects to support, how much money to give, and the Retrofit Coordinator and installers they want to collaborate with.
But, unlike previous green energy grants, ECO4 ensures all heating improvements and insulation measures are completely paid for by your energy provider, at no cost to you!
Meaning homeowners and private landlords will not be charged for the installations but will still enjoy the benefits of a warm, cosy, cost-effective home. This scheme will run until the 31st March 2026.
Also known as the Free Boiler Scheme, the ECO4 Scheme aims to enhance homes and households with the lowest energy efficiency, particularly those in fuel poverty.
Only properties in bands D-G are eligible for improvements.
The new Minimum Requirement (MR) also mandates boosting the energy efficiency of homes in bands D and E to at least band C, and band F and G to at least a band D.
If your owned or privately rented home still relies on a non-condensing gas boiler, this scheme gives you the opportunity to upgrade to a much more energy efficient system.
Private landlords can also benefit from an increase in property value by having an energy efficient system installed, while also ensuring their tenants are comfortable and happy.
